NASCAR has placed drivers Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch on probation for the first six races of the 2008 Sprint Cup Series season, a result of their on-track altercations Friday during practice for the Budweiser Shootout.

Nascar Puts Busch, Stewart On 6-Month Probation
Race drivers Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart have earned probationary status from Nascar on Tuesday. Busch and Stewart will not be seeing action for six races starting with the Daytona 500. The probation was granted on the two due to a recent scuffle that caused a disarray during practice.
