Soundgarden - Outshined
"Outshined" is a song by Seattle grunge band Soundgarden. It appears as the second track on their 1991 album, Badmotorfinger. It was also released as the second single from the album. "Outshined" became an instant hit and a fan favorite, featuring a crunching opening riff and one of the most memorable Soundgarden lyrics, "I’m looking California, and feeling Minnesota". The lyric even inspired a movie called "Feeling Minnesota" in 1996, though Soundgarden is not featured on the soundtrack. "Feeling Minnesota" has also been used by ESPN anchor Stuart Scott in reference to Kevin Garnet, a player for the Minnesota Timberwolves.Author:
